Monica Ferreira, ILC South Africa, is the recipient of INPEA's 2012 International Rosalie S. Wolf Memorial Award for Research, Practice and Prevention of Elder Abuse.

The award was presented to her by INPEA Secretary, Susan Somers, in the 1st IAGG Africa Region Conference on Gerontology and Geriatrics (AFRICA AGEING), held in Cape Town on October 17-20. The citation on the award reads: “For decades of devotion to the prevention and protection of older persons from abuse and neglect in the Africa Region and around the globe.”
